Tirola Launches Film/TV Company 4th Row Films

Douglas Tirola, formerly of Studionext and Emerging Pictures as well as the writer and director of films including "A Reason To Believe," has launched a new independent film and TV company, 4th Row Films.
The company maintains a division that works with indie filmmakers to
produce commercials and branding films. Tirola has previously worked on
branding films for companies including Chrysler, Miller, Proctor and
Gamble, and Coke. Susan Bedusa, who has worked for SoNo Cinema, Chicago Films, Amy Robinson Productions, Revere Pictures, Studionext, and Emerging Pictures, has been named director of development. Award-winning documentary filmmaker Robert Greene has been named head of post-production.
The company already has several film and TV projects in development. They include the film "Crazy White Mother," with a script written by Glenna Whitley and Tirola; "Funny Peculiar," a family comedy to be written and directed Liz Foley and Peter Hobbs and to star Rip Torn and Betty Buckley; "Sweet Home Chicago," based on Stuart Dybek's short story which will be produced with Dan Halperin and Scott JT Frank of Epiphany Pictures; and "Victor in December," about a group of childhood friends. "Victor," which Tirola is directing, will shoot this winter; Daria Jovicic at Wild Bear Films ("Girl with a Pearl Earring") and Bob Balaban's Chicago Films ("Gosford Park") are also producing.
"There are a lot of good stories out there that just need a little
help to find their feature film voice," said Tirola in a prepared
statement. "We are able to offer the story development most independent
film companies are unable to afford with the help of our marketing and
branding business."
4th Row's offices, including production studio space, are in midtown Manhattan.
